The hotel
Treehouse Hotel London sits at the southern tip of Marylebone, close enough to Oxford Circus to feel genuinely central while retaining the neighbourhood’s calmer character.
The hotel occupies the upper floors of a tower building on Langham Place, which gives it something most central London hotels cannot offer: panoramic views from almost every room across the London Eye, The Shard, Canary Wharf and Regent’s Park.
The Nest rooftop bar takes full advantage of the same vantage point. This is an unambiguously fun hotel and it knows it.
The experience
Treehouse wears its personality openly. The design is warm, lightly whimsical and well thought through: window seats purpose-built for watching the city, a resident Paddington Bear in every room and a lobby atmosphere that sits somewhere between a treehouse and a very comfortable club.
Staff draw consistently strong reviews for warmth, which in a hotel at this price point makes a meaningful difference to the overall experience.
The Nest rooftop bar is adults-only from 5pm and draws a strong crowd on weekend evenings. A daily manager’s reception is included for all guests, typically in the early evening.
The rooms
All 95 rooms benefit from the building’s height, with large windows and genuine city views that are rare at this price point in central London.
Rooms are well sized by London standards, and guests consistently note the quality of the beds. Hypo-allergenic bedding, minibars, in-room safes and air conditioning are standard throughout.
The rooms facing north and west tend to offer the most dramatic views and are worth requesting. Paddington Bear occupies a corner of each room in a way that works better than it sounds.
Food and drink
Madera serves reimagined Mexican food across breakfast, a popular weekend brunch and an evening a la carte.
The kitchen does a weekday set menu from £29 for two courses for a maximum of six guests.
The Nest rooftop bar serves cocktails alongside the views and is worth visiting as a destination in its own right, though it can get busy at weekends and is adults-only from 5pm.
The neighbourhood
Langham Place sits directly opposite BBC Broadcasting House at the southern end of Marylebone. Oxford Circus is five minutes on foot, Bond Street is ten and the heart of Soho is a fifteen-minute walk south.
Marylebone High Street is fifteen minutes north, and the hotel’s position makes it particularly useful for guests planning to cover a lot of London ground in a short time.
What makes it special
Treehouse has something most central London hotels simply cannot offer: genuine, unobstructed panoramic views from almost every room, looking out across the London Eye, The Shard, Canary Wharf and Regent's Park simultaneously.
The Nest rooftop bar is one of the best viewpoints in Marylebone, and the hotel earns strong reviews not just for its setting but for the warmth of its welcome. A resident Paddington Bear in each room is the kind of small touch that sounds gimmicky but is, in fact, lovely.
